Center for Continuing Education and Special Competencies (CCESC)

Mapúa CCESC established in 1986, is the training arm of the University that provides Curriculum Integrated Program (CIP) and Continuing Professional Education (CPE). For CIP, training courses with certifications are embedded and aligned in the curricula of engineering and non-engineering programs that will prepare the students to become competitive in the industry upon graduation while for CPE, training courses are conducted for professionals who would like to enhance and to up-to-date their special competencies with corresponding continuing professional development (CPD) units as per requirement of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines. With its vision of becoming a premier center of non-conventional learning, Mapúa CCESC, the only training center with more than 200 short training courses, aims to utilize all technological breakthroughs and innovative and state-of-the-art instruction to raise the level of proficiency and global-competitiveness of Mapúa graduates in particular and Filipino Engineering and IT professionals in general. In August 2019, Mapúa CCESC has launched its Microcredential Program wherein majority of Mapúa CCESC short courses are credited as electives with master’s degree unit/s valid for two (2) years. For partnerships, Mapúa CCESC in its capacity building initiatives has partnered with training providers and industry leaders for the delivery of Cisco Networking Academy Program, CompTIA Academy Program, among others. Mapúa CCESC is also accredited by Pearson VUE, both static and mobile, in providing certification exams for more than 500 certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, Oracle and many more. It is also an accredited Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) –Occupational Safety and Health Center as Safety Training Organization (STO) for basic and advanced safety training courses; Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Pollution Control Officer (PCO) Trainings and Seminars Provider; Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Trainings and Seminars Provider and a Civil Service Accreditation as CSC Accredited Learning and Development Institution. And for those who would like to take a career path and specialization in a particular industry, Mapúa CCESC has established its Project Management, CyberSecurity and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly Academies, depending on the role or niche the trainee plays. Mapúa CCESC continues to develop its Academies such as Language Academy, to which includes Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, English and Filipino; Data Science Academy, Digital Transformation Academy and Energy Academy.
