Description
The Autodesk® Revit® software is a powerful Building Information Modeling (BIM) program that works the way architects think. The program streamlines the design process through the use of a central 3D model, where changes made in one view update across all views and on the printable sheets.
PRE-REQUESITE:
This training guide introduces the fundamental skills in learning the Autodesk Revit Architecture software. An understanding of architectural terminology is an asset.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
MODULE I: Introduction to Fusion 360
- The students are able to:
- Understand the purpose of BIM and how it is applied in the Autodesk Revit software;
- Navigate the workspace and interface;
- Work with basic drawing and editing tools; and
- Create datum elements for the model.
- The students are able to:
- Create a 3D building model with walls, curtain walls, windows, and doors; and
- Add component features to the model.
- The students are able to:
- Add floors, ceilings, and roofs to the building model; and
- Model stairs and ramps.
