Description

The objective of the Autodesk® Navisworks® Essentials instructs students in best approaches to combine 3D geometry from cross disciplines into one scene to enable effective model reviews. Through a hands-on, practice-intensive curriculum, students acquire the knowledge needed to review and markup the model, use TimeLiner, Animator, Scripter, Quantification, as well as the Clash Detective tools within the Autodesk Navisworks software.

Pre-Requisites:

It is recommended that students have a working knowledge of 3D design and task-scheduling software.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

After completing the course, the trainee must be able to:

  1. The students are able to:
    • Understand the different methods of adding a 3D model inside Navisworks
    • Able to understand different methods of selecting objects inside the 3D environment
  2. The students are able to:
    • Understand the different tools in reviewing the aggregated 3D model
  3. The students are able to:
    • Create Gantt charts and tasks
    • Assign geometries to certain tasks for construction sequencing
    • Create a simulation of a construction sequence
  4. The students are able to:
    • Create basic animation to objects
  5. The students are able to:
    • Create basic script to objects
  6. The students are able to:
    • Create 2D and 3D takeoff
    • Export takeoff data
  7. The students are able to:
    • Understand the different type of clashes
    • Create clash report
    • Audit and resolve clashes
