Description
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the most widely used green building rating system in the world which provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership. This module will discuss the fundamentals of green building based on LEED framework and how the team can participate in projects undergoing LEED Certification process. The LEED Green Associate credential is meant for students and professionals who support green building design, construction, and operations in non-technical areas of practices. This could include product manufacturers, real estate agents or brokers, or higher education faculty.
ENTRY COMPETENCIES of Participants (Prerequisites):
Engineering and Architectural background both professional and student; Real estate developers, owners and agents; construction professionals, design consultants; anyone new to green building
