Project Quality Management includes the processes and activities to be conducted that determine quality policies, objectives, and responsibilities so that the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken. It implements the quality management plan through policy and procedures with continuous process improvement activities conducted throughout the project life cycle.

This course encompasses the three (3) processes under the Project Quality Management, namely, the Quality Planning, the Quality Assurance and the Quality Control.

ENTRY COMPETENCIES of Participants (Prerequisites):

Target participants are registered and licensed professionals who are assigned/designated to handle projects as PICs (project-in-charge), PMs (project managers), Construction Managers, Supervisors, and other Professionals handling or involved in projects. While the number of years is not required in the practice, it is imperative that the participant should have an adequate knowledge on the business processes and procedures of the industry he/she is into to be able to define in details the project objectives with regard to scope, schedule, cost and quality.


Engineers or Architects assigned to projects should take a systematic apporach to the quality control and assurance functions that are required for the project. Knowledge of the quality requirements of the project is of utmost importance to ensure compliance to drawings and specifications.

This course will provide a system to develop a method of control for all the technical requirements that are required to be done.

Competencies to be gained from the course program include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Participants will be able to prepare inspection and testing plan.
  2. Participants will be able to prepare an outline of acceptance and/or rejection procedures.
  3. Participants will be able to create a flowchart for handling nonconforming work of test results.
  4. Participants will be able to establish persons responsible for carrying-out the sampling and test plan.
  5. Participants will know how to prepare QA/QC documents.

Participants should be able to prepare the Quality Management Plan for projects.
Each submission and/or presentation will be checked for correctness and completeness during workshops.
