BASIC ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEM ANALYSIS

Course Duration

16 hours, 2 -day training workshop

Description

This course aims to provide the trainees the basics of Electrical power system analysis. The short course will give the learners on how to model, design, analyze and protect electrical power systems. The course also provides theories and computations for short circuit and load flow.

Course Objectives

  • To review the fundamentals of balanced and unbalanced Polyphase systems.
  • To create a per unit equivalent circuit of a power system.
  • To calculate symmetrical faults on every bus of the power system.
  • To calculate the basic settings of circuit breaker and fuses.
  • To learn the overview of load flow analysis and compute for the power flows of lines and bus voltages
