Course Objectives

This course covers the technical concepts and business considerations needed to prepare data for specific analytics/predictive modelling requirements. This covers viewing analytic data preparation in the context of the business, identifying the specifics for the analytical variables design and creation using SAS programming.

In addition, this course provides the techniques to spot and avoid common pitfalls that compromise the quality and integrity of the data being used to for analytical data preparation.

PREREQUISITES

This course assumes some experience in data management and overview on analytics and predictive modelling. Before attending this course, you should have

• exposure to DATA step programming equivalent to SAS Programming 1: Essentials
• exposure to programming in SQL or the SQL procedure
• familiarity with the analytical process of building predictive models.

This course addresses Base SAS, SAS/STAT software.
