Course Description
This course aims to develop abilities of learning organizations in designing and creating learning curriculum for employee development. This covers discussions and outcome-based workshops on: (a) fundamentals of curriculum development (i.e., purpose, aspects, and considerations), (b) models/approaches of curriculum design, and (c) the processes of curriculum development.
ENTRY COMPETENCIES of Participants (Prerequisites): Any personnel in a company considered as subject matter expert in terms of professional education or training and experiential skills and work exposure. Basic knowledge and experience in training and instructional design is an advantage for any trainee of this course.
Total Time Allotment
8-hr In-class discussion, exercises, and assessments (i.e., diagnostic, pre/post-testing, in-discussion assessments)
8-hr Hands-on Workshop on Curriculum Development (e.g., simulation workshops, presentation of outputs)
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the participant shall be able to demonstrate the following skills/competencies:
Training Outcome 1. Explain thoroughly the fundamentals of curriculum development (purpose, elements, considerations, etc.).
Training Outcome 2. Identify appropriate model/approach of curriculum design based on the need of the organization.
Training Outcome 3. Design and present organizational learning curriculum.
